Health Care
-
27.2 million people did not have health insurance in 2024
-
While employer-based insurance is the prevalent source of coverage for the population ages 0-64, not all workers are offered coverage by their employer or, if offered, can afford their share of the premiums.
-
Commentary: Millions of people did not have access to health insurance in the United States. Employer-based insurance, where the employer provides options for health care, is one such reason for this number. The Reboot party plans to decrease the maximum amount of money an employer can charge for their insurance so that the citizens of the US can get the health care they need.

-
Education
-
The average cost of a four-year degree is between 108,000 and 234,000 dollars
-
We want to help strengthen the Department of Education’s role in providing equal educational opportunities for all individuals.
-
Commentary: The cost of higher education isn’t affordable for many individuals. The Reboot party will make the Federal Department of Education have a larger role in distributing financial aid, because the cost of 108-234k for a four-year degree is not affordable for everyone.

Immigration
-
To get a green card, it would take 34 months in 1991, compared to over 5 and a half years in 2019 (step 2)
-
By itself, the administrative processing wait generally took more than a year and a half in 2018 (step 1)
-
Commentary: There are two steps to legally immigrate to the US, according to Cato.org. The first step is the administrative processing, the part where our government does the legal work to allow people to come inside, which generally takes a year and a half. The Reboot party plans to reform this process by hiring more people, judges, immigration lawyers, and bookkeepers (the people who file paperwork) to speed up the process. These funds will be diverted from ICE incrementally, with the first step to stop the expansions of ICE hiring and use those wages, as well as their $50,000 sign-up bonus, to hire new people for the legal process.

Foreign Policy
-
Russia + Ukraine:
-
Ukraine Casualties have increased by 27% in the last year, resulting in over 20,000 deaths in two years.
-
Military deaths have reached over 500,000 individuals.
-
Commentary: There have been too many deaths on both sides. The Reboot party will pursue a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine by working with both sides. If an agreement is not reached within six months, we will push for increased support for Ukraine.

-
Middle East
-
Israel-Gaza
-
Within the past week, The New York Times reports that Israel launched strikes into Gaza, which resulted in 25 deaths. Israel’s defense was attacked first, but it resulted in zero injuries.
-
The United Nations Committee for Human Rights has found that Israel has committed Genocide against the Palestinians
-
Commentary: Both sides have committed atrocities against each other, from the acts of genocide to Hamas attacks, which killed 1200 Israelis. The Reboot party firmly believes in peace and will pressure both groups to follow the peace deal that was recently brokered. Whether this pressuring from is in the UN, Diplomatic discussions, or decreased support
